FinOps and cloud costs

Cloud cost optimisation and FinOps that find waste and cut spend

Make every cloud euro count. See what you are paying for, what you actually use and where savings are achievable.

Overview

Our cloud cost optimisation and FinOps service reviews AWS, Azure and Google Cloud environments for idle resources, oversized workloads, unnecessary storage, avoidable data-transfer costs and inefficient configurations. It is built for SaaS companies and businesses whose cloud bills are growing faster than expected and who want a clear, evidence-based picture of where the money goes.

You receive prioritised actions with estimated savings, implementation effort and operational trade-offs, so you can decide what is worth doing and in what order. If you want help acting on the findings, we can implement approved changes and measure the results against an agreed baseline. Throughout, we check performance and reliability so that lower spend does not come at the cost of a less stable service.

Who it is for

SaaS companies

Product businesses whose infrastructure costs rise with every new customer and who need spend to stay under control as they grow.

Businesses with rising bills

Organisations whose cloud bills are growing faster than expected and who cannot easily explain why.

Kubernetes users

Teams running workloads on Kubernetes who want to understand how cluster capacity and costs map to real usage.

What is included

The final scope is agreed in your proposal. These are the areas the service typically covers.

Cost and usage analysis

A review of what you pay for against what you actually use, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Resource rightsizing

Identification of idle and oversized resources, with recommendations sized to observed workload needs.

Kubernetes cost reviews

Analysis of cluster capacity, workload requests and node usage to find where Kubernetes spend can be reduced.

Storage lifecycle planning

Plans to remove unnecessary storage and move data to suitable tiers based on how often it is accessed.

Commitment evaluation

An assessment of whether committed-use discounts suit your usage pattern, and which commitments make sense.

Allocation, budgets and alerts

Cost allocation so spend maps to teams or products, plus budgets and anomaly alerts to catch unexpected increases.

Pricing

Published prices in US dollars, excluding VAT where it applies. Every option is also on the pricing page.

AWS Cost Review, fixed fee

$1,500fixed fee

You pay a fixed fee, get a ranked list of savings with the exact changes, and keep 100% of what you save.

  • Bill and usage analysis across every account and region
  • Rightsizing, idle resources, storage tiers and data transfer
  • Savings Plans and Reserved Instance coverage checked against real usage
  • Each saving priced in dollars a month, with effort and risk
  • Your team implements, or we do it from plan hours

AWS Cost Reduction, share of savings

20%of verified savings for 6 months

Nothing up front. We find the savings and make the changes. You pay a share of what you actually save, for a limited period.

  • Same review as the fixed-fee option
  • We implement every change you approve
  • Baseline agreed in writing before we touch anything
  • Savings measured monthly in AWS Cost Explorer, shared with you
  • No savings, no fee

Example: a $20,000 monthly AWS bill reduced by 25% saves $5,000 a month, $60,000 a year. The percentage is only an example, not a promise; we price the real saving after the review. For the share option, the baseline is your average bill over the last three months, adjusted for usage growth and agreed in writing.

How it works

  1. Share platforms and spend

You tell us which cloud platforms you use and your monthly spend range, and give us authorised read access.

  2. Analyse cost and usage

We review billing and usage data for waste, oversizing, storage, data transfer and configuration issues.

  3. Prioritise the actions

You receive prioritised actions with estimated savings, implementation effort and operational trade-offs.

  4. Implement and measure

If you choose, we implement approved changes and measure results against an agreed baseline.

Questions about FinOps & Cost Optimisation

What does a cloud cost optimisation review look at?

A cloud cost optimisation review looks at your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud environment for idle resources, oversized workloads, unnecessary storage, avoidable data-transfer costs and inefficient configurations. It covers cost and usage analysis, rightsizing, Kubernetes costs, storage lifecycle, commitment options and cost allocation. The aim is a clear view of what you pay for, what you actually use and where savings are achievable.

What do we receive at the end of the assessment?

You receive a prioritised list of actions. Each one comes with estimated savings, the implementation effort involved and the operational trade-offs, so you can weigh cost against risk and team time. That lets you decide what to act on first and what to leave. The findings are specific to your environment rather than a generic checklist of cost-saving tips.

Can you implement the changes as well as recommend them?

Yes. We can implement the changes you approve and measure the results against an agreed baseline. Nothing is changed without your approval. While making changes, we check performance and reliability so that savings do not come at the expense of a stable service. You can also take the recommendations and implement them with your own team if you prefer.

How is cloud cost optimization priced?

You choose between two options. The fixed-fee review costs $1,500 for AWS spend up to $30,000 a month, and you keep every dollar saved. The share-of-savings option has no upfront fee: we implement the approved changes and invoice 20% of the verified monthly saving for 6 months. Azure and Google Cloud reviews, and ongoing FinOps support, are quoted to scope.

What do you need from us to get started?

Share your cloud platforms and your monthly spend range. For the review itself, we need authorised access to billing and usage data and read access to the relevant accounts or projects. It also helps to know which workloads are business-critical, any known cost concerns, and whether you run Kubernetes, so we can focus the analysis where the strongest savings opportunities are likely to be.

Will cutting costs affect performance or reliability?

It should not, and we check for that. Every recommendation lists its operational trade-offs, so you can see where a saving carries risk before you approve it. When we implement changes, we check performance and reliability alongside the cost results. Some savings, such as removing idle resources, carry little risk; others, such as rightsizing busy workloads, need more care and are flagged accordingly.
